I've tried changing the permission on the directory but that didn't help - which to me is really very strange. Both accounts have administrator privileges. I then joined the computer to the rest of my network and I was using the software under another account which is my network account.

Yes, I rebuilt my computer and installed all my software under the local account that was created when I reinstalled the OS. I'm not sure why this should be the case if you are saying there is a 'Vectric\Aspire\V3.0' tree structure under here unless you have installed the program under a different account. You could try manually changing the permissions as you are logged in as an adminstrator. Were you logged in as a different account when you installed Aspire? The installation program modifies the permissions on that folder when it runs.
